Antique blocks and tackle, single luff, rigged with hemp rope tied off on an old boat cleat at the bottom. All ends are tarred cord hand wrapped like the old days. An old gray weathered oar is attached at the side, a patina that only comes with real age. The bottles rest on carriage bolts wrapped with tarred tape. At the top is a brass framed plaque that reads “U S S Chesapeake”. All are mounted on an oak plank that still shows the old time circular saw blade marks. The piece is bordered with hemp rope that is tied off at the bottom with hand tied tarred cord.
